McDonough Christmas 2012

A few days after Christmas Dad, Kath and Katie came down to Oklahoma from Kentucky to celebrate Christmas. We really are so lucky they have the ability to visit us all so frequently. They also got to go to Memaw's funeral which I know meant a lot to Matthew and his family. 

One afternoon we opened presents. The kids were beside themselves with anticipation. 

Maggie got some American Girl doll and me matching outfits. She has slept in one of these nearly every night since Christmas. So has her dolly. They both look adorable.

I'm sure it will be hard to believe, but Evan got MORE Batman gear. 

He too has hardly taken off his Black Knight battle gear, arm shields and chest protectors included.

Jack got an amazing Lego like Mario Kart race track thing. Aunt Katie patiently put it all together for him... piece by teeny tiny piece. It is a very cool toy.

Kath got a deviled egg tray, some perfume and a gift card to her favorite store in Norman, Antique Garden. Dad got a new North Face jacket, cologne and a few books. Too bad he didn't remember telling us that he wanted those books a few months earlier. Present Fail. 

Spencer got some new Lego's and a Nintendo DS 3D game.
He is looking pretty serious in this picture, but I like Dad in the background laughing about something... probably about the fact he forgot he told me he wanted those specific books! 

This is the deviled egg carrier present... I think she liked it! Good job Kimberly.

Kim and John got a new surround sound system.

They also got a new dining room table... they had to close their eyes while we brought it in.

There was another surprise for the kids outside...

New swing sets! They are awesome! Jack's is up in their backyard and it's so much fun to climb on and swing from. Ours is still in the boxes (along with a their new trampoline) until we figure out this new house situation. That's a separate blog.

THANKS Papa, Grandma Kath and Aunt Katie. We had a wonderful Christmas with you all this year. 

Dad, don't you wish you could get this kind of hug everyday? You could if YOU LIVED IN OKLAHOMA! I know a pretty cool house that's about to go on the market! ;-)
