The kids' preschool puts on a Christmas program each year, mid December. It's always sweet, memorable and hilarious. This year was no different, and since Evan was our personal star, it was pretty special.
Aunt Kimmy and Jack came out to watch, and of course Big Sis was there too.
The stage was set to match the program theme, The Gentle Beasts of Bethlehem.
Evan and his classmates were little donkeys. The song they sang was about their job as a little donkey to carry Mary safely on her way to Bethlehem. It was precious.
He sees me.
Then he got shy and jammed his shaker instrument into his eye.
Then pouted and refused to sing.
When he joined the other animals on stage for the finale, he was little less shy!
He felt comfortable enough to dig for some gold.
Yup, looks like he ate that gold too. Nice.
Mommy was proud of him, boogies and all. We loved listening to Little Donkey in the car when we were traveling here and there. All of us know the song by heart now. I'd put money on it that Little Donkey becomes a family favorite during the Christmas season.
