This year we had a grandparent at the kids' Grandparents night at school!
Matthew's Mom lives in Alaska, his dad lives in Texas. My Dad lives in Kentucky and my Mom lives in Ada. So it's hard for the out-of-towners to make stuff like Grandparents Night.
This year, Grandma Mary (my Mom) was able to make it. She got a special treat too, the third graders had a musical performance and Spencer got to dance... with a GIRL!
Before the program Spencer showed off his desk. He went into great detail about the inside contents of his sweet little 3rd grade desk.
This was the special treat he made for his Grandparents.
There's a lot to see as a Grandparent, of course. Important things like where Maggie stacks her completed school work, way down low in the blue cubby. All A's no doubt!
And here's a Grandparent goodie from Maggie. This is her family tree. She did a great job.
Found this gem on the wall too.
Posing by her wall art of the seasons. She's so stinking cute. So is her artwork!
Spencer on the stage. I couldn't get a good picture, but his performance was spectacular! He sang and danced with the sweet little lady in the background very well. He didn't smile much, not until he was walking back to us after the performance. Then we got a great big grin, dimples and all.
Mom and her oldest two grandkids.
Mom and the little one who plowed through three bags of popcorn during the evening.
Happy Grandparents Day 2012.
Dad and Vicki - the kids have special Grandparents day treats for you too upon your visits, which can't come soon enough!!
