Each summer the OKC Thunder provides a fun family event. Over the years, we've had the opportunity to do a lot of fun stuff in the great state of Oklahoma. This year was no different. A few weeks ago we went to the OKC Zoo. It was a HOT day, but we still managed to have a wonderful time. Here are some pictures from our day.
Checking out the stingrays. Evan almost climbed in the exhibit.
It was neat to let them swim under your hand and feel their slimy texture.
Matthew and I fed them little pieces of fish. It felt like a vacuum... they would swim over your hand and literally suck the fish through their mouths... their mouths felt like little brushes. Weird! Maggie tried it, and chickened out. Spencer missed this exhibit because he was hanging out with a buddy from school who's Dad works for the Thunder too.
Took the boat over to see the elephants.
My favorite part of the OKC Zoo... the elephants. We were there during a water break.
We didn't make it all the way around the zoo this time as it was so hot. We did enjoy the time we spent there, as we always do.
